FREE Tutoring - SES Program
We have summer programs available.

What is the SES Program?

The Supplemental Educational Service (SES) program is offered by the State of Michigan to students who attend schools that have not met AYP (Adequate Yearly Progress) two years or more in a row. Under the No Child Left Behind Act, free tutoring is offered as a means to help students improve their M.E.A.P. test scores and to achieve academic success in all their subject areas.

We are a State of Michigan Approved Supplemental Educational Service (SES) Provider. We are members of the EIA (Education Industry Association) and adhere to their Code of Ethics.

Who is Eligible for the Program?

Free tutoring is offered to students who:

  • Attend schools that have not met AYP (Adequate Yearly Progress) two or more years in a row placing the school in the Phase 2 status. In this situation the school will offer you the opportunity to enroll your child in the SES program.
  • Low income (receiving free or reduced lunch)
  • Cost of service is provided by each individual district under No Child Left Behind

How Does the Program Work?

  • We have a maximum ratio of five students to one teacher, a preferred ratio of three students to one teacher; one on one is available as needed.
  • We tutor in schools, churches and community centers. Tutoring may even be available at your child's own school.
  • We tutor after school for two hours, from one to four days per week.
  • We use local certified teachers that have undergone an FBI fingerprint background check.
  • We do pre and post testing.
  • We specialize in students with special needs.
  • We provide snacks for students at no extra charge.
  • We provide student's supplies at no extra charge.
  • We communicate regularly with parents and classroom teachers.
  • Hours available varies per district, a minimum of 30 hours.

Our results show over a years growth with 30 hours of tutoring!
