McCully's Educational Resource Center was founded on Mary McCully's passion for helping children to achieve their best. With the support of her family and some close friends, Mary McCully started McCully's Educational Resource Center. The first center opened in spring of 1996 with 5 teachers.

By the end of the first year the Educational Resource Center had doubled in size and had to move. The Center relocated only a few blocks away to Main St. in the downtown area of Plymouth, Mich. Over the next four years M.E.R.C. steadily grew and doubled in size again. In 2002 M.E.R.C. moved to its current address at 7664 Canton Center Rd, Canton, MI. McCully's Educational Resource Center grew again in 2004. A second location at 12232 Wade on Detroit's East Side was opened.

McCully's Educational Resource Center currently provides hundreds of teachers who help thousands of students each year in small group settings throughout the State of Michigan.
